Hermes: Signed, sealed, delivered!
We have great news! eatsleepthink has been recognised for its outstanding work in advertising and branding at the 2016 Hermes Creative Awards.
The Hermes Creative Awards are an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. The awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMPC), an international organisation that seeks companies and individuals with exceptional talent. There were over 6,000 entries from advertising agencies, public relations firms and freelancers across the globe and we have received awards for our fantastic work for Sheffield-based businesses.
In the Advertising category, we won a Platinum Hermes Creative Award for our Smoke Barbecue Campaign. We helped Sheffield’s much loved American-style Barbecue restaurant develop a campaign focusing on their mantra to put the fork down and get dirty! We produced photography which embodied the rich flavours of the food combined with the hands-on experience of eating in the restaurant. Our ads featured members of staff, family and friends rather than models, showing real people who were up for a good time.
In addition to the Platinum Award, we have received a Gold Hermes Creative Award for our Company Branding of Sheffield’s new insolvency practice, Graywoods. We built an identity focusing on growth, a contrast when associated with insolvency. Not only did we help create the core materials for the business, we also helped name the business! We are continuing to work with this great company to help push the idea that times have changed and rescue and re-growth of businesses is more favourable than closure!
We have also received an honourable mention for our pro-bono work the charity Friends Of Alec Syphas. In July 2014, Alec was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. When superheroes are not battling for good against evil, they often adopt a secret identity that allows them to live an ordinary life… but Alec’s life is anything but ordinary. We took this lead and concluded that we needed to create several brand components based around Alec being the hero of his charity and place him at the head of his own superhero team. With just our team of ten, we are now taking on the CHASE Awards! This is a brand new competition aimed at showcasing micro, small and medium to growth transatlantic businesses. It recognises the very best of successful exporting and inward investment in the transatlantic corridor. We are up for a Micro Business Export Award for our partnership with G&S Business Communications in the US. The event will take place in London on the 12th May 2016 - keep your fingers crossed for us!
